Rag Dogs has been set up by Bloomfield Collegiate school and are a group of 7 enthusiastic Year 13 student entrepreneurs.

Its inspirational to see such young people trying to help the environment and trying to reduce the effects that global warming and climate change are having on our planet.

We got sent 3 toys. The Jack Toy and two Russle toys – all with a cute wooden logo tag attached. They have informed us that the Russle toy seems to be their most popular at the moment. Taking them around 20 minutes to make and 10 minutes for the Jack toy.

The quality of these toys are surprisingly good. They seem extremely soft and are machine washable, which is great as Reggie likes to take his toys off into the garden.

Reggie has loved these toys and with these being his newest toys we have been greeted by him with one in his mouth every time we have come back from nipping out of the house. I genuinely think he likes them because with the material I think that he thinks it’s an enormous pair of socks. He has that sneaky “sock look” on his face when he has one of these in his mouth.

Reggie is not so much of a chewer so these toys will last him a while. He’s more playful so they have been great for a good game of Tug of war!

We asked Rag dogs a few questions to see what inspired the students to make these products: Here was their response

“We did our market research and realised there was a gap in the market for 100% eco- friendly dog toys so we wanted to change that. We also know statistically that millions of families in the U.K, around 8.9million households own a dog so this was the best market for us”.

As a new business which started in September last year they are doing exceptionally well already. They have had a high demand for the two products they are selling and their bundle deals.

We can’t wait to see what products Rag dogs bring out in the future.
