East Farm Glamping

Dog Friendly Review

East Farm Glamping

My friend and I stayed in a beautiful dog friendly cabin on a stunning boutique glamping site in Northumberland. This haven of tranquillity is hidden away among 100 acres of land and is perfect if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing place to stay.

Check in was quick and simple and all done through their website. You are given all information from arrival until you leave via their their app which is downloadable. I found having this virtual information very useful.

The Cabin

We were welcomed by a gift hamper containing chocolates, cookies, dog treats, prosecco and a lovely card from the owners. Teas and coffee were also kindly provided.

I have nothing but good words to say about this stunning cabin. The cabin was spotless and the decor is stunning throughout, designed by the owner Jack and the beautiful interior by the owner Laura. You can see via their Instagram page how much thought and effort has gone into this cabin. (link at bottom of page)

The wood fired Hot tub was pre-lit on arrival and overlooked the endless countryside.  We were lucky enough to experience a breathtaking sunset, enjoyed whilst sitting in the hot tub with a glass of fizz.

The owners are very energy conscious and the cabin is powered by solar panels situated next to the cabin.

There are two spacious areas were you can sit outside. The decking area which is under a pergola overlooks ‘The Duck Pond’ and an area next to the cabin with outdoor chairs, a BBQ and fire pit. We loved the little touch of the Twinkle lights at night which gave the outdoor area a relaxing, cosy feeling.

The luxurious bed was extremely comfortable with the duck feather pillows, fresh Egyptian cotton sheets and memory foam mattress. I enjoyed waking up and looking out of the large windows watching the wildlife nearby. We saw two beautiful swans, wild rabbits and pheasants which were roaming around outside the cabin.

The kitchen was fully equipped with utensils, crockery and cutlery provided. Complete with a gas hob, oven, microwave and fridge.

The lounge which was adjacent to the kitchen had a cosy log fire, Smart Tv and games (Jenga , Uno, FAQ, the Ultimate Couples Quiz). Logs are provided and available if you need to stock up.

The bathroom had the usual amenities. Towels, travel shampoo, and body wash were available . Robes were also provided for the hot tub.

We felt very safe in the secluded cabin as the owners live locally and were just a call away.

Dog Friendly

Dogs here are welcomed just as much as their owners. They welcome two small/medium sized dogs. Dogs are given a towel , high quality Ruff wear bowls to use, treats, poop bags and even a ruff wear lead. I was really impressed by this as this is our first stay to include a lead. The cabin is enclosed with a gate which allows dogs to roam freely and safely . Outside the decking area dogs are to be on leads around the duck pond.

If you are considering booking the cabin, ensure you bring your own dog bed as these are not provided. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture, which is understandable.

Location

To get to the cabin it was easy to locate with the given What3Words. We enjoyed the scenic route to get there.

With Northumberland being an area of outstanding beauty, the walks in the area are endless with numerous trails to follow a short walk or drive away.

We walked some of Hadrian’s wall and went to visit the famous Sycamore Gap Tree, aka The Robin Hood tree,  featured in the 1991 film Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. The owners give plenty of information in their app within the ‘Local area guide’ section.

Red Dog Buoyancy Aid

The owners really have created a special place. We loved absolutely everything about this stay.

I highly recommend this rural escape. East Farm Glamping is the perfect place to relax and unwind.  I would not hesitate to go back. It is certainly on our comeback list.

Thank you for inviting us East Farm Glamping. See you again soon!
